COALITION - BLACKMAILING...............

The Karat and company has again threw the bait...the bait of terminating the support to the beleaguered U.P.A. That it comes from the well-educated soft-spoken decency-personified group of people, opens up the Pandora's box of the coalition experiment at various stages as an instrument of settling personal ego es nestled in narrow-minded, arrogantly costumed and stubbornly draped political mindset.

A mere 5-8 % of the parliamentarians holding the oxygen cylinder of the ruling coalition is itself a slap on the spirit of democracy. A percentage that is good to be ignored and meant to be dumped in the waste-bin of parliamentary arithmetic has reared an undeserving head for too big a lion's cake that it can stomach. Good or bad, when we know even CHINA and a few other countries are gearing up international resistance against the deal, left's stand in a way raises serious qs. about its patriotic spirit. Since when has this meagre 5 % started speaking for the rest 95% of the population. Even if there are a few discrepancies, but the historic deal never ever stipulates to undermine India's national interests to the harrowing monstrous levels to which THE LEARNED men have exaggerated to. ON ONE HAND WHEN IT DOESN'T EVEN ALLOW TO RAISE PETROL PRICES IN THE WAKE OF INCREASING INTERNATIONAL BARREL RATES, on the other hand it doesn't even allow to produce nuclear power as an alternative to whatever small percentage it can be. Now is the left not itself responsible for the rising inflation
and price rise and proving to be a stumbling block in the wake of worldwide pressing economic environment.

In fact the comrades in karat, Bardhan, Dasgupta and Somnath Chatterjee (who doesn't miss a minute shedding tears for the degrading moral standards of parliamentarian etiquette's) have been more of a tired horse rather than visionary statesmen which the nation would have hoped them to be.

Haven't we seen time and again a repeat of Jallianwala massacre in NANDIGRAM, the strong hold of the left. Hasn't even the governor GOPALKRISHAN GANDHI expressed his deep anguish at the way the state is governed, hasn't the power problem in the state been so erratic that even RAJ BHAWAN volunteered for a two-hour power-cut. Haven't we seen the CPI COMRADES RAPING WOMEN and roaming Scot free, haven't we seen unending strikes and dharnas for the step-motherly treatment to the gorkhas forcing them to demand a seperate State- thus putting loss of crores on the exchequer. Haven't we seen the stooges of govt. stooping to the lowest levels in patronising a particular industrial house.

Well Karat and company surely is winking when it comes to settle its own house properly and the great Brinda Karat suddenly seems to have a bad throat when it comes to human-rights violations in her home state. And how about the great opportunistic friends in Samajwadi Party who till now were hobnobbing with the left suddenly developing a great fancy for the congress. By announcing to withdraw support, Karat has put himself in the shoes of Deve Gowda and paved the way for another deceptive and unworthy group of Mulayam and company to garner the benefits of political compulsions.
