The plight of the most ruble-rousers in the erstwhile govt. - Mulayam, Amar, Karat, Paswan and Mayawati is like the proverbial fall from grace. So shameless these self-styled messiahs of downtrodden vote-bank politics have been that apart from exploiting the the caste factor and

The dagger on Batala encounter,,,,,,,, DELHI POLICE's best man haunted....

The problem in democracy is that when a thing is done, its questioned,,,why is it done,,,
and when a thing doesn't get done ,,why is it not done?
The Batala encounter headed by one of the most shining armours of the Delhi police Colonel Singh saw the fort of a budding terrorist outfit crumbling to pieces. To scrutinise each and every case by the media and other moral preachers would surely put heat on the otherwise demoralised and inefficient force and rob it off the performing spirit by the remaining untarnished and gutsy officers. The dagger hanging in such obvious cases would only help the enemy forces build their castles on the foundations of the publicity stunt of these so called social organisations which do not miss a chance to moove the courts at the drop of a hat.

FAROOQ PREFERS IPL OVER THE SWEARING IN CEREMONY..........

Surely there is a breed of politicians with always a silver spoon in their mouths. The son jumps the wall wailing that the father not being in the habit of waiting to know if he is inducted in the cabinet. The great Indian father pushes off to South Africa to enjoy the last shots of IPL rather than reamain in to attend last shots of the swearing-in-ceremony. This coldness reflects the seroiusness with which the winner of merely 4 seats keeps the the lagrest winning party on tenterhooks. More than anything else it shows the insesitivity of the crew who wish to navigate the nation in this competitive and result-oriented scenario. But how does that matter -- if Omar cries in right freequency and the dear father catches a cabinet shot, it surely makes him THE MAN OF THE MATCH. Certainly Indian politics and Cricket are as much in the swings of unpredictability.

BEGGARS on the BEGGING political spree--THE GRAT INDIAN DRAMA...

The great Indian political drama is in its usual brisk business. This is the perfect season, as the IPL, FIFA, WORLD-CUP, or LAKME FASHION WEEK, the only diffeence is the stark insensitivity and naked shame with which the politicians stoop so low to promote their families and dynasties lock, stock and barrel.

The greed infested DMK almost ended up blackmailing the world's largest democracy precisely on the lines of what Karat, Jayalalitha, Mayawati, Mulayam, Paswan, Amar Singh or Lalu had been doing.......asking for their pound of flesh,,,,,,,,,for a mere 20 seats,,,,,,,,in the 550 Parliament. But the main question is -- where were these greedy hungry wolves masquerading as India's saviours hiding when Mumbai was seiged or when Kargil was fought. Why would any of these sycophant dynastic propagaters not send their kith and kin to the war- front or flow to Delhi to have a word with Madam Sonia so that some Dyananidhi Maran or Kanimozhi gets the honour of laying their lives for the nation................or are their lives meant only for the big bungalows or creamy portfoilos............

Isn't it a shame that Karunanidhi is so ashamed to realise, or has our democracy faltered off the track...........................either way --one man's hunger snatches the bone from the benificiance of one billion......... Isn't the latest version of a JAI-HO.......................

IPL versus THE SHRINKING SKIRTS and DEEP CLEAVAGES...

Glamour is no way distasteful. Neither any form of beauty, as the adage of the yore says -- "A THING OF BEAUTY IS JOY FOREVER....."
Neither is any kind of innovation, nor any marketing strategies to highlight a product for a better marketing value. But there lies a thin line demarcating the decent from indecent, beauty from vulgarity, a dance at the bar or hip-hopping, pelvic gyrations with obvious tempting and sexually arousing gestures through the body language of these cheer-leaders. The beautiful shapely young dames imported from all over the world for this very purpose of shaking a leg to throw the bait of their sexuality to the fishing eyes of the millions of viewers after every boudary hit or a wicket lost is in no way remotely connected to the game played. It rather gives a very sulking view with precision of the tailored made outfits accentuating the upper and side bulges of the breasts to its maximum visibility extending upto the front exposures leaving almost nothing to a man's imagination, the cleavage as deep as making the whole scenario tantalising with every move givivg the impression of the bust shaking at its max vigour in the air. The skin-hugged lowers sculpts the hips and the legs to their artistic perfection making every look at them turning into a hungry gaze and never withdrawing stare. The waist and the navel doing the rest of the killing with never ending legs never refusing to leave man's hindsight. It in a way looks an absolute intrusion when the pitch of the game is at its clamax best. With the same zeal these beauty objects are displayed, time is not far when we would have an exemption of the technicalities attached to the WARDROBE - MALFUNCTION on the cricket ground.

Although it might seem to be a war b/n modernity and mediavelity but for all ages and civilisations, insanity nevertheless can't be wearing the shoes of vanity and perpetrators of anchors howling for the fundamenatl rights debates.....................If that be so we shall soon have a Barkha Dutt walking in the news studio in a bikini or a surgeon going to O.T. in a swim suit.......justifying in as many ways as the half-naked and adrenaline thrusting cheer leaders on the cricket ground...............by the very same promoters in the game and in the media...... The choice is to be made ..... Is it not turning the dignity of a woman into an object to sell a product and making an inclusive reach of sexual-exploitation a much easy game........... ? The answer lies in our inclusive war b/n modernity and sanity.

Omar' modernised version of what we call -"Political cribbing"

Its not even a week for the result of our hard earned democratic equation to attain the stability factor that their showed an inherent greed clamoured aberration in the numericals used. Even before the dust settled, the winning horses or at times even the mouse ( depending upon the strength of the M.P.'s ) get into the PORTFOLIO race with all the vigour of a hungry wolf.

Omar, one of the most well educated and suave generation of this otherwise misunderstood breed of professionals, couldn't help but become a victim of "THE HIDDEN GREED" that comes as a bonus to the allies offering their minuscule numbers in Parliament. His open clamour of Farooq Abdullah not being pooh-poohed by the larger fish that is the Congress for the juicy cabinet berth- puts forth a narrow-minded, self-centred, haughty approach that stands in stark contrast to their usual roaring of SELFLESS service to the nation and SERVICE to their downtrodden brethren. His sarcastic comment of the father leaving for South Africa leaves in bad taste the kind of veiled threat that the great son of the youthful Indian brigade, contrary to his image, has tried to convey.

Farooq Abdullah for that matter is fondly remembered for spending a good part in England when the state was under the military siege and investing his evenings in page 3 gatherings, after the usual blood bath the same day in any part of the state. For the senior Abdullah to be on a foreign jaunt or to ride a rickshaw in the alien land or spend the evenings with the fair of the species is surely not a new thing but it surely is a dramatic shift in political manoeuvring for the young and dynamic son to behave in such shoddy manner over a cabinet berth. For the nation to be taken on by the youth brigade, such family bonuses are surely insipid for a HEALTHY INDIA'S TASTE BUDS.

DEMOCRACY at its weired best,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

The fundamental of any success depends upon the activeness of its participation process. Any rule of the game connotes a particular degree of percentage as a bench-mark. Democracy in India has been left to the minimum participation that can hardly be described as a satisfying barometer of a system's achievement. The willingness or the enthusiasm of the people to not come forward despite the best media attention underlines the inherent anomaly in the otherwise most viable option of governance available to humanity from the times immemorial.

A mere 40% - 50% of countrywide participation, which at times drops to 35% in certain sectors of inhabitance decides what the other 50% refuse to accept. Apart from this even the parties with a mere 1% success rate at the hustings take on the role of being the great king-makers of the 1.6 billion country, or still worse is when all these splinter parties having 1% - 7% success ratio put on the hat of Chanakya's of the great Indian political canvass clamouring and blackmailing for the coveted posts or horse-trading to the tune of 25 crores per Member of Parliament.
Elaborating on the same lines, the parties which in a way have been shunned by 90 - 95% electorate (participating or non-participating) or which in the most common-sense term means -the parties which don't even deserve a mention worth their merit-- rule on the rest of the bigger parties having a 93-99% success ratio. As an example , Paswan's 4 M.P.'s or laloo with 20-30M.P.'s have literally blackmailed the previous Govt. in snatching some of the most sensitive posts apart from throwing their arrogant tantrums from time to time and also been able to withheld CBI to proceed cases against them.
Coming to the larger question of non-participation of electorate, the point to be emphasized is the unavailability of options to the common man even if he sincerely wants to cast his fundamental right to vote. At times its like chosing b/n the deep sea and the devil. The said right to participate in the nation building evolves to a logical conclusion only if there exists a mechanism to ban the entry of dishonest, corrupt, murderers, kidnappers, rapists, drug addicts, scamsters, power hungry and arrogance personified candidates who have scant rather nonexistent regard for the rule of the law. The recent outburst bordering on the eccentric limits of a former U.P. strongman and a convicted murderer Amarmani Tripathi's driver-turned-politician to dare the police to rescue the people he had made captive on national television is an example to quote. With 1/5 of the erstwhile parliament having criminals and that too some of them adorning as many as 40-45 serious charges, the electorate's shaken faith and unwillingness to cast vote can not be blamed. The only role played by the people in casting their votes is limited to throw open the avenues of minting 20-25 crores once the horse trading starts,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,well isn't it then wise to be a PAPPU at times................till the code of conduct prohibits the fielding of such candidates in the first place. THE REAL FRUITS OF DEMOCRACY WILL THEN BE DELIVERED.

B.J.P's obsession with the Gandhi suffix.............

From times immemorial the best of the fire arms that B.J.P. traded towards the Congress was the latter's obsession of the " Gandhi " name. Nehru-Gandhi, kind of dynastic rhetoric baked the opposition's cake for almost four decades. The intoxication of such a name dint seem to leave the party's craving to see the magic attached to a Gandhi word...... even if it would mean a BLACK MAGIC............ or else how can one explain the inductment of Maneka Gandhi even though she carried the legitimate tag of being an estranged daughter-in-law of their most hated enemy --Indira Gandhi.

The prized possession and then dispossessed and disowned member of the Congress's inner household who had her name changed at the instance of Indira Gandhi, from Meneka --the seductive dancing character of Lord Indra's court- to Maneka; the woman who was one of those whom the messiah of the much criticised Emergency era Sanjay Gandhi would treat as a one night destination (until her advocate father forced Sanjay to marry her rather than being dragged to the court), the sensational dame displaying her electrifying youthful body modelling in only a towel wrapped around ........... the very nature of her qualification going against the morals and character of an organisation whose parent allies would create a ruckus over a mere VALENTINE'S celebration.................. That she walked so long in the B.J.P., with the B.J.P. shows the extent of compromise the party has gone up to, to suit its immediate vote bank.

As if it was not enough.............in their zeal to see the double-effect of the magic word Gandhi,,,,,,,,, the party after a public goof-up by its leader in appreciating Jinnah as a secular identity in a non-secular fundamentalist nation Pakistan,,,,,,,tried to cash on the hate speech of Varun Gandhi, which could have resulted in a large scale communal conflagration. The cashing -on strategy was as it is a hollow one with the party high command after a long silence --forced to condemn it but twisted it to the extent of questioning the veracity of the contents of the speech. Although these two imported Gandhi's ( imported... because of ideological and inherent factors) but of a pure desi origin made their way to the 15th lok sabha but the pathetic defeat of the party who once courageously erected its citadel from a mere 2 to 100 plus seats in the parliament, proved that the magic of the Gandhi name signifies an absolute diametrically opposite perspective in the two diametrical opposite parties.

The only thing the B.J.P.has achieved is helping create an all time record for the 4 Gandhis to be in the parliament. Be it the Gandhi of whatever party, the B.J.P. has openly acknowledged its own obsession with the word Gandhi even when it means promoting the son and wife of the man who once UPON A TIME was a terror to send a shudder down the spine of these very people who now projected Feroze Gandhi's son as the new poster boy of an --on the route-defunct party. What now is to be seen is- How soon would Maneka Gandhi become "The Sonia Gandhi of B.J.P."?

B.J.P. pays for its FOOLISHNESS..........

B.J.P. has tasted the most naked form--- a defeat can show up. Rather it has been its inability to nurture the kind of manure needed to see the fertile field bloom with a nutritious harvest. In its zeal to downplay the main rival- Congress, with speeches of hook or crook, B.J.P. has in fact slapped its own face, trampled upon the ready made ---on the platter kind of -- anti-incumbency factor, stumbled on the real common man's issues, dropped the catches of congress's inefficiency, misfielded the shots which they could have capitalised (--like the women security issues and the then somewhat foolish comment of the C.M. expressing her views of travelling in the public transport....... ) , centralising its line of fire on Sonia Gandhi---which the electorate got bored to the extent of getting irritated----and an eccentric attack on one of the most honest, sincere, uncorrupted, untarnished, unblemished --till now --image of Manmohan Singh getting to the extent of being on a personal frequency. What ended up after the election result was a 180 degrees reversal swing, with the B.J.P. hitting the scoreboard of India's political cricket to a shameful low and Advani notching the most humiliating Man of the Match title ------the rules of the game which he himself scripted for Manmohan Singh.

In the scenario that could have been capitalised on the policy failures, development issues, a visionary future,,,,,,,,,,,,, all B.J.P. ended up was a massive waste of its unexploited and unharnessed potential and talent of people like ...Yashwant Sinha, Jagmohan, Chetan Cahuhan, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Hema Malini, Smriti Irani........ But haven't we become used to its oft-repeated and most favourite stance of INTROSPECTION which hardly yields any fruitful gist after every such mismanagement of election process. There certainly is a wave of BHAYE HO----in the party itself but was that not the preamble the party chose to go with in the elections.................
