LACKAISDAL LAWS.........

Not even when the judgement in the old-age BMW finished doing the rounds of intelligent analysis, was another BMW killing the bikers and leaving the place in another car only to be nabbed while fleeing from I.S.B.T. Shockingly enough the culprit was bailed within 4 hours while the rich father wailed his inocence. And if this wasn't enough to break the back of the commuters, another BMW surfaced its fangs in hit and run case...................

Enough is enough..................but I still vouch there will be more of these headlines in the wake of non-existent police check in the colony lanes (where death is one accelerator away) under the garb of low police strength...................well haven't we seen the good and punctual policeman knocking at the doors when one unloads handful of bricks and sand for some minute alteration in the remotest of lanes................

LIFE BEYOND THE BLAST'S FIRST FEW MEDIA-STAEMENTS

All those politically coloured, sympathetic sounding statements of our ever so media-hungry politicians who don't miss out a chance to visit the sight of the massacre and announce a deluge of benefits for the victims seem to have met its Waterloo just 72 hrs. of its conception. The severe shortage of anti-gangrene serum costing Rs. 20,000 a vial, that could save the victims (already unable to come to terms with reality) from being maimed amidst the loud protests of the best treatment at govt. cost has proved to be a cruel joke on the face of the unsuspecting bed-ridden people for whom one blast changed the landscape of their future.

As our politicians are too shameless to accept this and find a way out of this State bestowed handicapped life, its only at the mercy of their fate that these victims are left to. Well not much takers to organise a bandh or an agitation for this JUST cause nor Sushma Swaraj at her loud decibel ed famous threat to shave her head off .......perhaps no Mamta Bannerjees or Brinda Karats or for that matter the famous Maneka Gandhi who finds cruelty to animals at the drop of a hat more politically gaining than the State sponsored cruelity to victims in not even meeting the basic medical requirements. One look at the Sarojini Nagar or the Meerut fire victims would expose the real gulf b/n the dream promises and reality faced by these victims.

I am sure if any politician would have been burnt in the blasts he would by now be in U.S. at State expense....or have the media and public memory been short enough to rememeber the 1991 Bombay blast victim who had 45 operations at the cost of Rs. 60 lacs to remove the glass splinters and the govt. paid him a mere 1 lac for his treatment............ Mr. Ramadoss would find this a better topic than the infamous Venugopal saga where his personal intervention went much beyond the required attention and provide the victims the best possible anti-gangrene serum vials ...well wasn't he the one who reminded the doctors to abstain the reservation protests as the ethics of profession so demand.................but the million dollar question is ----Who will remind these insensitive, undeserving politicians their ethics of serving the nation and the prosperity of its subjects...................?????????????

WELL ISN'T MY INDIA SHINNING ...........................with arsony, goondiasm, strikes, agitations, police laathi-charge, chakka-jams...............and now maimed citizens as the state turns a blind eye in providing the medical facilities...........

FASHION STATEMENT OF SHIVRAJ PATIL.

Our Desi Nero sure was dancing to the tune of immaculate sense of dressing when Delhi was rocking with serial bomb blasts. He changed his attire at almost the same precision of frequency as the serial blasts. The serial dress-changer kept his date with smartness in clothes better than in the sincerity of gauging the security threat that the world's largest democracy is ridiculously seeped in.

Well that's the Home Minister of our great Nation for whom I always had the great respect of being a statesman until he choose to be the playboy of the fabric industry and be their advertising mascot rather than be the tough mascot of protecting the 1.2 billion people of the world's seventh largest nation.

His roar of the day that he has the blessings of the party high command shows the height of sycophancy amidst the terrorist threats that appear to sabotage nation's peace. Such a statement displays the vac cum of healthy sense of reasoning, logic, political acumen, vision, confidence and guts that's expected of a person holding such an important and sensitive post. The so called Congress high-command must come out of these puppets in the top slots and stop being the butt of hilarious laughters and near maddening display of priorities over National Security that gives the strikers to have the last laugh.

WHY NOT ON TERRORISM............

Why don't the perpetrators of goondaism and and his mentor (who must be repenting to have included him in his bandwagon), go on agitations and strikes on the (security issue) and see that no one dares to use the Marathi land for sending mails and accept responsibility for the bomb blasts occurring at every corner of the country. Beating up taxi drivers and others for the sake of being a Bihari, or of a Hindi speaking origin or being a Muslim-christian, shows the paucity of any constructive plans that can be guided to a better prospectus.

Violence and bringing the whole city to a standstill is surely no long-term mantra to be in the limelight. Hitting out and using a disrespectful street language to a senior top police officer K.L.Prasad is surely a display of sick mentality of the person who thinks himself to be the self-appointed marshal of Mumbaikars.

HEIGHT OF IRONY.................IN MUMBAI........

If an Indian is ill-treated abroad then we make it a prestige isssue and even roar in Praliament. Here in Mumbai we are murdering and harassing our own countrymen.

If a Hindu is murdered or his religious sentiments are hurt then again we take it up at the Govt. levels and even to the P.M. levels, but here in our own country we are issuing fatwas and talibanising the city no less worse than on Islamic fanaticism and thrashing our own Hindu-countrymen in Mumbai.

In our own diverse culture we don't want to speak in our mother-tongue. If a Hindi speaking person goes to Mumbai or two decades earlier in Chennai he would be a target of harassment by his own Hindu religion but non-hindi countrymen. But a Muslim would come to his rescue in terms of language understanding even when he is not a Hindu................

There is a catch in these practical situations,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,that a man's mind has become violence obssessed going back to the primitive era stages,,,,,,,,,,,,,There is a classic example to this..............Jammu-Kashmir has been in the middle of a turbulence from across the border for decades now. For some time now when the infiltratiuon was controlled and cross-border terrorism lowered its fangs to its minimum.........we Indians started fighting amongst overselves and brought Jammu-Kashmir to a stand-still for about 70 days. We fought over some trivial issues which could have been solved over the table rather than putting the State to crores of loss.

This shows the violence obssession of us Indians amongst overselves. When all went well and when we could have worked to improve the socio-economic conditions of the State in the controlled phase of low cross-boreder terrorism, we wasted huge money and innocent lives fighting ourselves. When all went well we found a way to constantly be on the path of violence even when Pakistan could not be held guilty for the time being.

Similarly in Mumbai......when all goes well for some time ,,the violence obssessed mentality of the political set-up discovers new ways to be on loggerheads,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I am sure the day is not too far when Khar and Bandra would be at logger heads if there becomes a scarcity of issues b/n North Indian-South Indian, Hindi-non Hindi or Hindu-Muslim because, Raj or Bal would still hogg for media lights to be in the news for their political survival..............

K.L PRASAD.........Jt. COMM. OF MUMBAI POLICE....MAN OF GUTS.........

K.L.Prasad, Jt. Comm. of Mumbai Police needs to be congratulated for his courageous stand taken against the instigation of violence and arsony unleashed by the NAV NIRMAN SENA (since there has been only destruction and loss of property, arsony, goondiasm, loss of business in strikes and bandhs..the party should be renamed as NAV DESTRUCTIVE SENA ). It is his job to maintain law and order. It is strange that these undeserving politicians first unleash a reign of terror and then make the police scape-goat in not protecting the innocents by either dismissing, suspending or demoting the govt. servants.

A TIME HAS COME FOR ALL IN THE UNIFORM AND OTHERWISE TO STAND AGAINST THIS NON-SENSE, narrow mindedness hijacking of issues for it might be any ones turn tomorrow to be hit on.

Raj Thackeray has forgotten that he is not even 1% worthy of clearing the IPS selection process and be in the shoes of K.L.Prasad simply because the selection does have any marks on murdering either Muslims, North Indians, South Indians, putting the streets on fire, indulging in hooliganism and open goondaism, arsony, damaging public and private property, threatening people and bringing the city to a grinding halt.

RAJ'S kids in an English medium school.........

What a pathetic irony.....................Raj Thackeray who strives for political media limelights and targets English medium schools and valentine's day has his children going to the same English speaking school. Except for one single subject taught as Marathi, all rest education in English is accepted to this self-styled moral policeman of Mumbai whose arrogance and destructive bent of mind to cash on the prime time news coverage delights his narrow-minded sick heart.

If he is so Marathi obsessed as he ostensibly tries to be, then what prevents him to let his children go to govt. run Marathi schools..............SHOULDN'T CHARITY BEGAN AT HOME...........or is it a stunt to have the cake and eat it too......

DOES HE DESERVE ANY MEDIA COVERAGE....

The recent fodder of Raj in Jaya Bachhan's casual remarks is a cheap strategy to gain cheap publicity. It is the height of an impotent system that allows such open talibanisation at the whims and fancies of one person's eccentricity. No wonder people like him ostensibly crying in the name of regionalism have been the reason for the break-up of this country that extended three times its geographical area at one point of time. The day is not far when the present map shrinks a bit further due to the divisive and communal flare generated by such people who survive their politics on the strength of murders on the street, violence, arsony, damaging public and private property, pulling down shutters, intimating businessmen and demanding money to run their kitchens.

With an inflation of 12.5% and as shamelessly a low per capita income as of about 480$, with farmers in Maharashtra topping the list in committing suicides---------does this kind of self-inflicted arsony amongst one's own countrymen and flaring poison of hatred and violence augur well with the right thinking visionary human sentiments........

Well there has to be a difference between the animals who are not into any civil and civic bounadations of a society and human beings who is born after 86 lacs yonis...........Is it that Raj Thackeray is not aware of basic Hindu mythological beliefs when he tries to exploit his Marathi culture..............Is region more important than country and the religion he is born to.........or is it as we see a ploy to misguide the youth and let his ammunition built up on non-existent, useless issues that have no weightage of prosperity and development.

FALLING TO FANATICISM

The recent happenings in the premier institutes has led one to believe that how easily even the educated faculty becomes a prey to narrowmindedness of religious fundamentalists and fanatics. This in the long run-up will erode the secular charachter of the nation and pave a way of further dividing the country on religion and regional basis.

Laloo's cheap politics.........

The inhuman, insensitive and cheap politics played by Laloo in this hour of crisis when the whole state is under the deluge of floods, is nothing but shameful to the core. This shows even while chanting the dalit factor and coming to power for so long..........they have bettered themselves the art of exploitation to score political points even in the hour of crisis.....
Laloo's gameplan to give railway jobs in lieu of land papers is also nothing but shameful. As long as humility and submissiveness don't become the thumb rule of our politcal setup.....and people refuse to be fooled by Mulayams,Laloos, and Thackerays...............India's future is surely doomed......

God ....save India from its OFFICIAL TRAITORS.....

Why on earth haven't Thackerays and company agitated and threatened on --vulgarity, broken roads, high fashion parties of which their own women are a great social factors, unemployement, two hour rain causing a flood-like situation, rapes and eve-teasing..committed by their own workers, buidings collapsing and killing people, rash and drunk driving...a case of Bal Thackeray's P.A. being involved in hit and run case, pollution, garbage disposal, security, law and order, drugs and cocaine, smoking by 13 year olds, work to give relief to fellow brothers in natural calamities, improve living standards, forgery, bar dancers, red light areas, the gay rights, corruption, .........hungry kids goinmg to sleep, mothers unable to feed, farmers committing suicides...

Aren't these more pressing factors than the very unintelligent, divisive self-fighting, cheap publicity gaining, goonda tactics,,,,,,,,,,,,,,by someone who is enjoying top government security himself and taking law into his hands...............

By these standards........where cheap publicity is the crux,,,,,,,,,the only person who should be sent back to his /her own state is Pratibha Patil............with her scandelous past .....isn't she an equal burden to other Delhiites..........

CATTLE ON THE ROADS............

Despite the Supreme Court's judgement, cattle and buffaloes are a common sight on the roads, even on the busy main road junctions. From the fairy tales of the past as the Cinderella would appear and disappear, so would the cows emerge suddenly in groups from the other side of the divider and hold the traffic to ransom.

Apart from the traffic hazard leading to traffic-jams and regular incidents of accidents at their sudden emergence, cattle-cows-dogs hitting and bleeding to death on the roads has not awakened the NGOs and Maneka Gandhis of their media-hogging activism and cry over the cruelty to animals. In fact the most ardent of their oratory does not find an audible decibel on the deaths of these speechless creatures of the same God that made humans. Interestingly any attempt to load these animals to the pick-up vans invites their foul cry and often a stay to be evacuated from the courts not realising that letting them die in cold-blood on the roads is more a cruelty than transporting them to safer places, even though it may require some force to do so..........But alas Maneka would have had nothing to do as it would take the wind out of her sails to reach to cheap standards of political survival. She makes sure to enter the sympathy gearing domain only when its required for her to keep quite and be out of the way..............

POT-HOLES ........MCD's tall claims......

Even after self-imposed deadline of 24 hrs. by the civil agencies, the roads in Delhi still make a laughing mockery of the tall claims by the administration. The Noida road from Mayur-Vihar to Nizamuddin which sees millions of vehicles passing is still full of dangerous pot-holes of various record-breaking diameters and of dangerous depths.

It speaks low of a society that claims to conquer Mars in distance, in not providing the safe travel to millions of commuters despite the voluminous wear and tear of tyres and other vehicular parts in sudden jumps and instant breaks. And in some cases accidents caused in terms of ramming into each-other and skidding of two-wheelers due to sudden appearance of these planetary craters leading to increase in statistical strength of causality data is something which intelligent maintenance and proper management of work force with an urgent willingness to repair can be avoided both in terms of human life and materialistic loss.

HOARDINGS ON THE MAIN ROADS.......A DISTRACTION AND A TRAFFIC CASUALITY.

The resurfacing of huge banners or advertising sign-boards on the main roads and that too a long stretch of them at times is a self invited casualty on the roads where road-rage and uncivilised driving has become a trademark. Its quite foolish not to assume that it does not distract drivers.

A simple ad. which I may be interested in e.g. to apply for a builders flats will compel me to look closely towards the hoarding to see the name of the builder or other detail address, or an insurance policy which I may be interested in for its minute beneficial points.

I therefore do not agree to the point that it does not cause any distraction. Quite disbelieving the fact is the stand taken by the honourable court to allow it once again after imposing a ban on it at one time. Sometimes non-application of sound mind considering the practicalities of the situation does more injustice than the degree of "Right to do", as enshrined in the constitution and as interpreted by the court.

ENCROACHMENTS ON THE YAMUNA-BRIDGE...........

The whole stretch of road on the Yamuna bridge is started to be encroached by the vendors causing a no. of vehicles to be parked haphazardly on the road and causing a distraction to the speeding vehicles apart from a traffic hazard. At times a long Que of parked vehicles invites a fatal scene in case of a mishap. Its like holding millions of travellers to ransom and a cause of traffic jams as well. And that too on the left side which is the lane of heavy-vehicular traffic which makes it more dangerous to park for about half a Km. and encroach the footpath.

Shouldn't the Delhi Traffic Police at the first place not let it have happened or are we as usual waiting for some of us to be a part of the tragedy before any affirmative action is taken or a set of recommendations flows from the closed-door meeting of the high officials who till now have been bereft of the damage this negligence on their part can cause.

PARKING ON THE ROADS................OFFICIALLY ACCEPTED........

The road that leads to India Gate via Purana Qila Road is fully parked with cars on both the sides. Not only parked, but its footpath is conveniently made to smoothen up so that cars and even Delhi Traffic Police's PCR cans are undauntedly parked. The parking, mostly of the learned lawyers and general public is an eyesore to the elegant environs of the Lutyne's Delhi, apart from being a traffic hazard, with hundreds of people thronging it at any given time.
If we can make a metro run though, a GMR airport decorate the Indian maps, a commonwealth infra-structure besides all corruption, unwillingness and unvisionary sight-------we surely can make an alternative parking to avoid traffic hazard, free flow of traffic, unnecessarily deluge of car-owners to cross the roads, apart from maintaining the aesthetic nature of the place.

I am really amused that no activist lawyer nor any NGO who don't miss hitting the news headlines to gain attention ever thought of this which in itself is a serious violation - right under their nose.

Apart from this, scores of people crossing the huge width of road from the central circle of India Gate to the other side is again a dangerous sight. While driving smoothly and at a constant speed in the midst of hundreds of other vehicles, sudden appearance of a hordes of people in the centre of the road waiving their hands towards vehicular traffic to stop and let them cross the big stretch of that wide road can cause sudden application of brakes resulting in either skidding or ramming into the jay-walkers----------a situation which at the first place can be easily avoided.
