WOMEN,,,,,,THE UNABATED CRIME RATE........ASSAM REPORT.

The horrifying figures never seem to be placate. The recent report of the Assam Govt. seem to strengthen the monstrous situation on the ground. The number of dowry cases has risen from 1,307 in 2001 to 3,063 in 2007; 990 cases have been registered until the month of May. Similarly, cases of rape have risen from 785 in 2001 to 1,311 in 2007 with 505 till May.
Apart from this consider all those cases which would have gone unreported.

Now my point is where are all the parties ( who swear by the ideals of our departed leaders giving them good turns in their graves ) that shout at the top of their voices and have mastered the art of bringing the whole city to a stand still, the ones who ransack and loot the public property and the ones who put on the veil of moral policing and thrash the valentine spirit doing ---for this ever alarming, ever increasing malaise that in a way is a result of their goonda politics.

Where are the likes of Sushma Swaraj who would shave her head for the vague issues but would be bereft of such atrocities except for their one-liners rehearsed over and over again to different news channels.
And as this news flashed was another case of sexual harassment of a lady officer against her superiors in the army.
Its basically the lack of will that is the reason for the alarming rise. We still see black-tainted cars hovering all over even when Supreme Court has ruled strict guidelines in this matter. Hasn't Delhi been the shameful city where a spurt of cases in which women walking on the roads have been simply pulled inside the black-tainted cars and raped in turns and then thrown naked on the streets. Has rash driving coupled with evening beer bottles not the cause to escalate the crime graph. Thanks to the magnetic personality of Vijay Mallayas,Mahesh Bhatts and Suhel Seths who do not miss one chance to propagate the fundamental rights issues without underlying the responsibility denominator to it that has vitiated the whole scenario. The dragging of cases with extended dates by the unvisionary magistrates has surely boosted the crime rise. The eve-teasing by the school-kids grouping at the street corners at the age where they should be inside their classes is the foundation of the crime against women.
No amount of holding press-conferences and releasing reports is going to check the rising problem. What is required by this land of 1.2 billion is the moral-will to do and act, otherwise be prepared to read another article with a change of place and characters...............from Assam to perhaps a new destination.............
